About

The Liverpool Muslim Society was founded in 1953 by the late Al-Haj Ali Hizzam when it operated from a room in his house.

In 1965 the construction of Al-Rahma Mosque started and the main prayer hall was completed in July 1974 to serve the small population of 3000 Muslims. The first small floor, the Madrassah and the imam’s accommodation was added in 1979.
